Honey Nut Caramel Bars

Recipe: Honey Nut Caramel Bars


4 cups Always Save Honey Nut Toasted Oats Cereal, crushed into 2 cups

2 cups Always Save All Purpose Flour, divided

1 cup Always Save firmly packed Brown Sugar

1 teaspoon Always Save Baking Soda

1/4 teaspoon Always Save Salt

1 cup (2 sticks) Always Save Margarine, melted

1 cup Always Save Mixed Nuts, chopped

Always Save honey

Caramel Syrup

Optional: 1/2 cup Always Save Chocolate Flavored Chips


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Stir together crushed cereal, flour, brown sugar, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl. Stir in melted margarine until blended.

Press mixture onto the bottom of an ungreased 9×13-inch baking pan. Bake for 15 minutes or until light browned. Remove from oven. Top with nut mixture and optional chocolate chips. Bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned.

Cool and cut into bars, then drizzle the top with honey and caramel syrup.
