June is National Iced Tea Month. Pull out your tall glassware and load up on the ice cubes to celebrate all June long. Though sugar and lemon are excellent ways to add pizzazz to your Iced Tea, here are a few recipes to keep you sipping all summer long.
Splash of Grenadine Iced Tea
4 cups of Always Save Tea Bag Tagless
¼ cup of Always Save Lemon Juice
¼ cup grenadine
Ice for serving
In a large ball container, mix together the tea, lemon juice, and grenadine. Pour over ice when ready to serve.
Lemonade Iced Tea
For the Iced Tea:
2 Always Save Family Size Tagless Tea Bag
3 cups water
1 package of fresh mint
½ cup sugar
For Lemonade
1 Always Save Frozen Lemonade
4 cups cold water
Bring 3 cups water to a boil in a saucepan. Remove from heat, add tea bags, and stir fresh mint. Cover and steep tea for 10 minutes. Remove tea bags and mint. Stir in sugar until dissolved. Pour tea in a pitcher and stir in 4 cups of cold water and lemonade concentrate. Serve over ice.
Blueberry Tea Recipe
1 (16 oz) package of Always Save Whole Blueberries
½ cup Always Save Lemon Juice
4 cups brewed tea
¾ cup sugar
Bring the blueberries and lemon juice to a boil in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally for about five minutes. Remove from the heat and pour through a fine wire-mesh strainer into a bowl. Use the back of a spoon to squeeze the remaining juice. Stir ¾ cup sugar and blueberry juice mixture into the tea. Pour into a pitcher. Chill until ready to serve.
