BLT Pasta Salad

We took our favorite sandwich and turned it into a pasta salad. This recipe works for a side dish at a get-together or for your main meal at lunch!

BLT Pasta Salad

2 cups Always Save Elbow Macaroni
3 oz bacon bits
1 pint cherry tomatoes
1 clove garlic
5 oz of romaine lettuce (about half of a prepackaged bag)
½ cup Always Save Salad Dressing
¼ cup Always Save Sour Cream
3 tbsp chopped chives
Olive Oil
Salt and pepper to taste

Cook pasta according to box. While pasta is cooking, slice tomatoes and lettuce. When pasta is finished, drain, drizzle with olive oil, mix and set aside in fridge. Mince garlic and mix in a small bowl with salad dressing, sour cream and a drizzle of olive oil. Add salt and pepper to taste (a pinch or two of each) and chives. Stir together.

Add dressing mixture and tomatoes to pasta; toss together. Then add bacon and lettuce, tossing together more gently. Serve immediately or refrigerate.
