Crunchy Chocolate Candy Squares
Posted Dec 28th, 2015
Today, December 28, is Chocolate Candy Day! If you’re anything like us, you’ve had a full month of baking cookies and other treats for the holidays. This chocolate candy recipe is the perfect way to use up odds and ends in your pantry, and to indulge in one last dessert before the New Year’s resolutions begin. Plus, there’s no baking involved – this recipe is so easy, anyone can make it!
1 ½ cups Always Save Chocolate Chips – we used up milk, bittersweet and white chocolate – anything will do!
1 cup Always Save Creamy Peanut Butter
½ cup Always Save Honey
¼ Cup Always Save Butter
1 ½ cups Always Save Old Fashioned Oats
1 ½ cups sweetened coconut flakes
1 cup Always Save Pretzel Sticks, broken in half.
Place chocolate, peanut butter, honey, and butter in a large glass bowl, and microwave for 2 minutes at full power. Remove bowl from microwave and stir until ingredients are fully melted and combined.
Add oatmeal, coconut and pretzel sticks into melted chocolate. Stir all ingredients together until well combined. Line an 8×8 pan with wax paper ensuring extra paper is hanging over the top of the pan. Spread mixture evenly into pan. Refrigerate at least 3 hours or until candy is firm.
Use the extra paper to lift candy out of pan. Cut candy into small squares. Enjoy!
