Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with these sweet & salty snack ideas.
1 (20 ounce) package Best Choice Vanilla Almond Bark
Green Food Coloring
1 bag Always Save Pretzel Sticks
1 bag Always Save Mini Twist Pretzels
1 package Always Save Microwave Popcorn, popped
1 cup Always Save Peanuts
Directions for Shamrock Snack Mix:
Line a baking sheet with waxed paper.
Pop popcorn. Pour into large bowl and remove any unpopped kernels. Stir in 1 cup pretzel sticks broken in half, 1 cup mini twist pretzels, and peanuts. Mix together.
In a separate container, melt ½ of vanilla almond bark (10 ounces) as directed on package. Once melted, quickly stir in green food coloring and then pour the mixture over the popped corn mixture. Stir to mix using a folding motion until all particles are coated.
Spread on wax paper and place in refrigerator to cool for 15 minutes. Break into desired size pieces before serving.
Directions for Shamrock Pretzels:
Line another baking sheet with waxed paper.
Melt remaining almond bark using directions on package. Quickly stir in green food coloring.
Using a fork, dip pretzel twists in melted bark and ensure it’s completed coated. Let excess drip back into bowl before placing on waxed paper. Repeat with two more pretzel twists and arrange as “leaves” of the shamrock. Dip a pretzel stick in the bark using the same method as the twists and place it as the “stem” of the shamrock. Make sure all pretzels are snug together. Repeat until you have around 24 shamrocks.
Place baking sheet in refrigerator for 15 minutes to allow shamrocks to harden before serving.
