Ooey Gooey Butter Cake

Ingredients

1 box Always Save Yellow Cake Mix
4 large eggs, beaten
1 stick Always Save Butter, melted
8 oz Always Save Cream Cheese, softened
2 cups Always Save Powdered Sugar, plus more for dusting

DIRECTIONS

Grease a 9×13 pan and dust it with powdered sugar.

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Add two of the four eggs to a large mixing bowl and beat the eggs together.

Mix in the cake mix and melted butter with the eggs. Note: This can be done by hand or with a handheld mixer.

Once the ingredients are thoroughly mixed and the batter thickens, dump the cake mixture into the pan and pat it down until it’s an even layer.

In a medium mixing bowl, beat together the remaining two eggs.

Add the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar to the medium bowl. Beat all the ingredients together until it is smooth and lump free.

Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cake layer and lightly dust the top with additional powdered sugar.

Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, until the top is lightly browned.

Let the pan cool on a wire rack. You will want to cut the cake while it is warm to get clean lines, but wait to remove it from the pan until completely cooled.
