DIRECTIONS

Preheat the oven to 375°F. Brush the inside bottom and sides of a loaf pan with some of the melted butter.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and 1/2 cup cheddar cheese.

Combine the dry ingredients and cheese.

Pour the beer into a medium mixing bowl and add half of the melted butter.  Whisk together the beer and butter, but be warned, it will get foamy!

Frothy butter and beer mixture.

Tip the beer-butter mixture into the flour mixture and stir the two together until just combined.

Combine the dry and wet ingredients.

Transfer the mixture to the loaf pan and pat it into an even layer.

Pour mixture into a bread pan.

Pour the remaining butter over the batter. Then top it with the remaining 1/4 cup cheddar cheese and the jalapeno slices.

Top with cheese and jalapenos before baking.

Bake the bread until it is set and golden brown, 60 to 65 minutes.

Allow the bread to cool in the pan on a rack for about 15 minutes.

Flip the pan upside down to remove the bread and enjoy it warm or at room temperature.
