Crockpot Molten Lava Cake


1 box devil’s food cake mix
1-2/3 cups water
3 large eggs
1/3 cup Always Save Canola Oil
2 cups Always Save 2% Milk
1 pkg Always Save Instant Chocolate Pudding
2 cups Always Save Chocolate Chips
Always Save Whipped Topping, optional

It might be getting hot out, but who doesn’t love a molten lava cake? This gooey goodness is paired perfectly with Always Save Whipped Topping or Vanilla Ice Cream. Set it, forget it, and enjoy this tasty chocolate treat!


In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, water, eggs, and oil.

Beat the ingredients together on a low speed for 30 seconds and then on medium for 2 minutes.

Transfer the mixture to a greased 4-qt crockpot.

In another bowl, whisk the milk and pudding mix together for 2 minutes.

Let the pudding stand until it soft set, about 2 minutes.

Spoon the pudding over the cake batter and sprinkle the chocolate chips on top.

Cover the crockpot and cook the ingredients on high for 3 to 4 hours or until a toothpick inserted in cake comes out with moist crumbs. Serve warm and topped with Whipped Topping.
