Veggie Mac & Cheese


1 lb Always Save Elbow Macaroni

2 tbsp Always Save Salted Butter

2 tbsp Always Save Olive Oil

1 cup Always Save Frozen Chopped Broccoli

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 bunch asparagus, cut into 2-inch pieces

1 small red bell pepper, diced

1 tsp Always Save Salt

1/2 tsp Always Save Ground Black Pepper

1/2 cup dry white wine

2 cups whole milk

1/2 cup heavy cream

2 cup Always Save Frozen Peas

2 cup Always Save Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

1 cup Always Save Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese

2 tsp Always Save Cornstarch

Quick, easy, and so cheesy! Our Veggie Mac & Cheese is perfect for any time you need a fast meal. Start with the cozy made-from-scratch Mac & Cheese and add some delicious veggies to make this a perfect dish for the whole family to enjoy. Stop at your local grocery store to find all the ingredients you need.



Cook the pasta according to the package directions. Drain and set aside for later.

Heat the butter and olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.

Add the broccoli, garlic, asparagus, and bell pepper and season with the salt and pepper.

Cook the vegetables for about 7 minutes, stirring, until the asparagus and pepper become tender.

Pour in the wine and allow it to reduce for 2 minutes.

Add the milk, cream, and peas and continue to cook until the liquid is warmed through.

Toss together the fontina, Cheddar and cornstarch in a bowl.

While stirring the sauce, sprinkle in the mozzarella, sharp cheddar, and cornstarch until the cheese is completely melted.

Bring the contents to a simmer and allow the sauce to thicken, about 2 minute.

Add the pasta and stir until well combined. Serve hot and enjoy!
