Directions

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

In a small mixing bowl, combine the walnuts, sugar, and cinnamon.

Place one sheet of the phyllo dough on a 12 x 15-inch piece of waxed paper and brush it with the melted butter.

Place a second phyllo sheet on top, brushing it with butter.

Sprinkle a 1/4 cup walnut mixture over the phyllo sheets.

Using the waxed paper, roll up the phyllo dough tightly, jelly-roll style, starting with a long side, removing paper as you roll.

Slice roll into 4 smaller logs.

Transfer the logs to a greased 9 x 13-inch dish.

Repeat this process with remaining phyllo dough and walnut mixture.

Bake until light brown, 14-16 minutes.

Cool dish on a wire rack.

Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine all syrup ingredients and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for five more minutes.

All the syrup to cool for 10 minutes.

Once cooled, drizzle the Honey Cinnamon Logs with the syrup and sprinkle any remaining walnut mixture on top.

Enjoy a log or two with some vanilla ice cream!
