Need a tasty and warm weeknight meal? This Lattice Topped Chicken recipe is perfect for all the hungry members in your house this winter. Bake it now and enjoy it throughout the week.
DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Combine the soup, milk, season salt, 1/2 of the cheese, and 1/2 the can of onions, and mix well.
Stir in the chicken and broccoli.
Pour the combined ingredients into a 9 X 13 baking dish. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
Unwrap the crescent roll dough and cut the rectangle into strips lengthwise.
After the first 20 minutes of baking, remove the baking dish from the oven and place the strips on the casserole to form a lattice top. Return the dish to the oven and bake uncovered for 15 minutes longer.
Once the dough has browned slightly, remove the dish from the oven and top the lattice with the remaining cheese and onions. Place the casserole back in the oven, uncovered, for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
Remove the casserole from the oven and allow it to cool for 5 minutes. Enjoy while still warm!
